LAC-SILURE-FRERIE  in France run by cat fishermen for cat fishermen using only traditional ways i.e. live baiting, dead baiting, sea dead baits, worms, liver, squid, and meat pastes. NO PELLET OF ANY KIND AND NO BOILIES this lake is a mature 7 acres with 6 purpose made swims three have permanent weighing stations. there is a wooden lodge on site with shower, cooker, fridge and table and chairs there is also a separate w.c to make your stay as comfortable as possible. there are 94 catfish in the frerie ranging from 20lbs to 143lbs there are 20 in the magical 100lbs plus and 2 very big surprises? every 4 months there are 2.000 silver fish stocked as the catfish have very big appetites. the catfish was brought from the governments run kings lake of 15.000 acres they have never been fed pellets or any kind of man made bait. they have never seen or felt a hook. they are some of the finest French silure ive ever seen. SO why no pellets you ask because all old and proper ways of cat fishing have been lost to pellets they have ruined my local waters so if you fish with halibuts stay at home this is not the lake for you. any one caught using pellets of any kind on frerie will be asked to leave and not to come back this is how strongly we feel a about this. I've been a member of the ccg for many years and watched the way catting has got more like carp fishing every day so my partner an i have decided to do something about it with a little help from a silent partner. the lake is only three and a half hours drive on the road from the port of Calais we can take care of you ferry bookings if you wish. also in with the price live bait of your choice will be provided i.e tench; perch, roach, rudd, or skimmer bream you will be met by Dave our roving bailiff on your day of arrival he will pop in now and again during your stay or myself (Dave) Darren OR Andy to see if there is anything else you need. so if you have never caught a catfish on a live then you have not really caught a catfish. this is something you will never forget
